STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Sweden’s Ericsson (BS:) predicted on Friday mental property rights (IPR) licensing earnings of 11 billion Swedish crowns ($1 billion) this 12 months after it renewed a patent cross-licensing settlement with China’s Huawei.

The telecom gear maker’s renewed multi-year take care of its Chinese language rival grants each firms international entry to one another’s patented, standardized applied sciences, it mentioned.

“With the present portfolio of IPR licensing contracts, Ericsson estimates the full-year 2023 IPR licensing revenues to be roughly 11 billion crowns,” the corporate mentioned in a press release.
